Softball Austin's mission is to offer the
Central Texas gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgendered
(GLBT) community, and the greater Austin community, the opportunity to experience
and enjoy recreational softball in a competitive,
inclusive and affirming environment. Softball
Austin will organize, promote and support
athletic, social, cultural or charitable
activities.
Softball Austin's October Board Meeting - October 14
The October Board meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 14 at 7 pm at News 8, 1708 Colorado St. The building is cattycorner from the Bob Bullock State History Museum.
There will be one agenda item for this meeting in addition to the normal Board reports. Our focus for this meeting is to get the council's approval to move forward in obtaining 501C3 status.
With the help of Patrick Galindo we have been in contact with a representative from one of the teams in Dallas who has offered some necessary advice. She has indicated it takes the council's approval for us to move ahead with this necessary plan.
