1. What is it about the Board position you would like to hold that most interests you in running for office?
I am interested in serving as the Operations Coordinator for Softball Austin because I value the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to an organization that supports both community engagement and recreational athletics. This role aligns closely with my professional experience in operations, logistics, and strategic planning, where I have consistently been responsible for coordinating complex processes, managing resources, and ensuring smooth day-to-day execution.
Through my background, I have developed a strong ability to oversee logistics, maintain organized systems, and anticipate operational needs, skills that directly translate to managing field operations, equipment coordination, and game day support. I am confident in my ability to ensure that league activities run efficiently while maintaining a high standard of organization and accountability.
In addition to my operational experience, I am motivated to bring a fresh perspective to the Board of Directors. I believe Softball Austin is at a point where thoughtful innovation and new ideas can enhance its already strong foundation. I would welcome the opportunity to collaborate with fellow board members, contribute to decision-making processes, and help strengthen the overall playing environment for participants.

2. How will you contribute to the Board as a whole if elected?
I would contribute to the board by bringing a forward-thinking, solutions-oriented approach grounded in both operational experience and a strong foundation in ethics. I value organizations that are not only well-run, but also intentional about continuous improvement, and I would look for opportunities to help Softball Austin evolve in ways that enhance both efficiency and the overall player experience.
One of my key strengths is offering a fresh perspective while still respecting the work that has already been established. I am comfortable asking thoughtful questions, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with others to implement practical, sustainable solutions that move the organization forward.
Additionally, my background in ethics, both academically and professionally, would allow me to contribute to fair and consistent decision-making across the organization. I believe strongly in transparency, equity, and accountability, particularly when it comes to league structure, division placement, and overall participation. Ensuring that teams and players are treated fairly and that competition remains balanced is essential to maintaining a positive and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.
Overall, I would aim to be a collaborative and dependable board member who not only supports day-to-day operations, but also helps guide Softball Austin toward thoughtful growth, stronger organizational practices, and an even better experience for its community.
3. Please list other volunteer commitments you have at this time.
I bring a broad range of volunteer experience across leadership, operations, and large-scale event coordination. I have served as President, Treasurer, and Event Coordinator for Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, both as a college member and as an alumnus, where I led fundraising efforts, organized large community events, and helped raise over $10,000 per semester to support chapters across the alumni network. I also contributed to the development and training of new officers across North and South Texas chapters.
In addition, I have supported disaster response efforts through volunteer work with the American Red Cross and FEMA, assisting with large-scale volunteer management and deployment operations.
Locally, I have spent the past three years volunteering as a logistics coordinator for Austin ISD graduations, working alongside the Chief of Operations to ensure the successful execution of 15 ceremonies serving more than 3,000 graduates within a single week.
Summarize your experience with Softball Austin.
I joined Softball Austin in February 2025 and have been an active participant in every season since, including Spring 2025, Fall 2025, and Spring 2026. During this time, I have also competed in multiple travel tournaments, the Austin-area tournament, and the GSWS in 2025. My experience with the league has been extremely positive, and I have valued the strong sense of community and camaraderie among its members.

Operations & Logistics Management – Extensive experience coordinating complex operations, including large-scale events, equipment management, and multi-site execution, ensuring efficiency and consistency.

In my role as Director of Emergency Management and Operations for Austin ISD, I plan for both large-scale emergency responses and day-to-day operational continuity for a district serving over 72,000 students and 30,000 employees. This includes developing, implementing, and evaluating programs to ensure effectiveness and readiness. These experiences are further supported by my Master of Public Administration degree, where I developed formal training in strategic planning and program evaluation.
