Fall 2026 Week 1 Recap: Five Teams Start 2-0

The Krieg Snapshot: Sunday, September 13, 2026

The Fall 2026 season opened with 16 games at Krieg Softball Complex, and five teams came out of it 2-0. It was 82°F at first pitch and 99°F by 3 p.m., with a heat index of 100 or higher from noon to 4 p.m.

  • Every Open C+ game was decided by three runs or fewer.
  • ATX Polar Bears beat ATX Dillos 16-0 in Open D, the widest margin of the day.
  • Four of the five unbeaten teams play another unbeaten team on September 20.

On Deck: Sunday, September 20, 2026

  • Open E, 1 p.m., Field 10: ATX Trash Pandas E vs. ATX Polar Bears. Both are 2-0: the fewest runs allowed against the most runs scored in Open E. Only one leaves the game unbeaten.
  • Open D, 2 p.m., Field 11: Ball’rz vs. ATX Storm. Both are 2-0, and only one leaves the game unbeaten.

Open C+

Every C+ game was close. ATX Fusion C won both of theirs by one run, 15-14 over Flying Chanclas and 11-10 over ATX Doughboys.

The Doughboys split the day with a 9-6 win over the Chanclas. Flying Chanclas are 0-2, but they scored 20 runs, one more than the Doughboys, and lost their second game by a single run.

Open D

Ball’rz and ATX Storm both started 2-0 and play each other at 2 p.m. on September 20. Ball’rz and ATX Polar Bears have allowed nine runs each, the fewest in Open D, and Storm’s 25 runs are the most.

Three teams are 1-1. ATX Polar Bears opened with a 16-0 win over ATX Dillos, Ghostrunners beat Jawbreakers 6-5, and Jawbreakers answered with a 9-5 win over the Dillos.

Open E

ATX Trash Pandas E and ATX Polar Bears both went 2-0 in different ways. The Trash Pandas allowed three runs all day, and the Polar Bears scored 25, the most in Open E. They meet at 1 p.m. on September 20.

Loose Angels scored 16 in their win over Austin Outlaws. Y’all Stars are 0-2, but both losses were by two runs (3-1 and 4-2), and their seven runs allowed are the second fewest in Open E.
