This season, softballaustin.org introduces two new features: Member Spotlights and photo sharing. These tools help members connect by putting names to faces, finding others with shared interests, and creating a growing record of the league each season.
Member Spotlights
A Member Spotlight is a short profile of someone in the Softball Austin community: a player, coach, or manager; volunteer; board member; former player; or supporter. Each one is in the member’s own words, answering questions like what first brought them to the league, what keeps them coming back, and what they would tell someone nervous about joining.
The form takes about 10 minutes, and short answers are welcome. Pronouns, team, and division are optional. You decide how your name appears, from your full name to initials only, whether search engines like Google can show your spotlight, and whether it may also go in the league newsletter or on social media. A league volunteer will publish it and email you the link.

Share Photos From the Fields
Send in photos from Sunday games, the Texas Hoedown, GSWS, socials, and other tournaments. You can upload up to 6 at a time from your phone or computer, and choose the year, the season or event, and the division so each photo lands in the right album.
Older photos are welcome too. The year list goes back to 2001, and every older photo helps fill in the league’s history; the Photos page already has albums back to 2013.
We review every photo before it goes up and aim to do that within 24 hours. Approved photos appear on the Photos page, on the homepage during the current season, and in a band of this season’s photos in each weekly recap.
